It is so much easier to learn to knit now-a-days then it was years ago when I was learning! You tube videos (or a loving friend)are a real help in the beginning of the learning process. Anything by Elizabeth Zimmerman is a fabulous starting point (she's dead but her books/videos are still a force in the knitting community). A book that really helped me was "Knitting in Plain English" by Maggie Righetti. But the best advice I can give you is to just jump in and try to make a scarf. Caution-- knitting is addictive!

I am interested in learning how to knit...do you have any suggestions for me? Books? Tutorials? Lessons?
